Electrical Test and Tagging

Portable Appliance Testing

Portable appliance testing is an important part of maintaining safety for your business and home. Tools, instruments and equipment that are poorly maintained, inappropriately used or not fit for purpose can cause injuries, and/or lead to dangerous work environments for workers and visitors. The best way to prevent this is to regularly test your portable appliance in line with Australian Standards

Testing and Tagging Process
1 Visual Inspection

We will conduct a thorough visual inspection of all items to be tested and tagged to check for any defects that may render them dangerous and unsafe to use.

2 Testing
We will identify which test should be applied to a piece of equipment, it is plugged into our state of the art tester and the correct test applied.  Item results are recorded and rectification work identified if required.

3 Tagging
A tag is then applied to any equipment that passes the testing procedures, clearly identifying that the items are safe to use. It also clearly indicates the next test date.

4 Reporting
All data is recorded in our database for future reference and a copy of test results and rectification work will be included with the invoice ID.
